CNC Machinist - First Shift

Summary:
This position will be within the Flowserve Center of Excellence Manufacturing Center, where you will manufacture Flowserve components using the latest in CNC and automation technologiesCandidate will setup and operate new CNC machining equipment that is dedicated for a family of Flowserve components to be supplied to several Flowserve sites in the AmericasThis facility will serve as a model of next generation manufacturing and product fulfilment for Flowserve in the futureThis will be a 1st shift opportunity
Responsibilities:
Operating Machine or Equipment - Operate basic equipment and machines and carry out routine tasksOperations Management - Carry out operational tasks by following established processesEquipment Maintenance and Repair - Help to maintain and repair equipment by carrying out preparations and providing assistanceHealth, Safety and Environment - Follow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and othersOperational Compliance - Follow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conductPrecision Equipment Utilization - Interpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gaugesInstructions and Drawings - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerancesInternal Communications - Exchange information with people by having courteous interactions with themPolicy and procedures - Works with guidance to understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectivesOther duties as assignedRequirements:

years machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and manual lathes/millsUses clear and effective verbal communication skills to express ideas and request actionsWorks with guidance to plan, organize, and prioritize activities to efficiently meet business objectives Applies elementary concepts to manage and apply safe systems of workPreferred Skills/
Experience:
