Job Description
Eaton's Vehicle Group - Truck North America division has an opening for a Technical Customer Support Representative. This position is located at the Vehicle Group headquarters in Galesburg, MI. The Galesburg facility is conveniently located half way between Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI on Interstate 94. Additionally, the facility is 15 miles east of Kalamazoo and Portage Michigan.
This position will provide warranty support, direct and adjudicate product warranty repairs via phone and electronic communication for customers that utilize Realtime Warranty services.
Essential Functions:
-Document all applicable customer contacts / warranty claims in related software systems.
-Assist in accurately determining failure root cause by utilizing diagnostic procedures, repair strategies, part requirements, labor hours and technical or other assistance related to the repair.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
Basic Qualifications:
oHighschool Diploma with 3 years in a technical troubleshooting role or 3 years experience working in a manufacturing or distribution company
oAssociates or Bachelors Degree in Diesel Technology, Automotive Technology, or Automotive Management from an accredited institution required
o Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
o Eaton product experience preferred or related industry knowledge of vehicle/product utilization
o Minimum 3 years work experience preferred
oStong in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting diagnostics (signal analysis)
Position Criteria:
o General electrical knowledge
o Competent in electronic troubleshooting tools and procedures
o Familiar with commonly used electronic troubleshooting tools
o Competent in general truck component knowledge, assembly/disassembly procedures.
o Familiarity with driving procedures for class 6, 7 & 8 vehicles.
o Truck vehicle/systems knowledge or aptitude to learn quickly
o Basic truck industry knowledge
o Basic knowledge of dealership/repair facility operations
o Capable of interacting professionally with customers, even in challenging situations.
o Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to, MS office applications.
o Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
o Ability to work well in a team environment
o Ability to use electronic tools to troubleshoot automated products.
o Represent Eaton in a courteous, ethical and professional manner at all times.
o Ability to work flexible hours, potentially including weekends.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
